It started with a dream — not just to visit Italy, but to immerse in it.
To hear the language, feel the culture, and see the beauty for the first time.
I didn't know it then, but that was the beginning of my MidLife Recode.
MidLife Recode is my space to share what this 50+ chapter looks like for me.
This next stage is made up of travel, new experiences, formal learning and growing in lots of different ways.
It’s about staying curious, open, and willing to rewrite the story as I go.
It's also about patience, and frustration and learning.
I share stories, photos, and glimpses of a life being edited—one choice, one insight, one step at a time.
Italy taught me that sweetness isn’t in the sugar—it’s in the moments.
I don’t have a traditional bucket list. What guides me now is time—how I spend it, how I feel within it.
I seek experiences that fill me emotionally: stunning landscapes, evocative architecture, rich history, language, culture, food, and connection.
Did I dream of Italy? Absolutely.
Did I know my trip to Italy would change my life? Not then I didn't, but now I can't imagine life any other way.
And while I often travel solo, I’ve learned that sharing the journey is even better. I’m grateful for the company—and the memories.
