I’m staying focused and positive each day as I build toward my next trip to Sicily in a few months.

Today I went for a bushwalk — nothing dramatic, nothing far from home — just an easy glimpse into how beautiful Auckland and New Zealand truly are.

I was lucky enough to spend a full day in Rome before heading back home to Auckland via the US.

Caltagirone is 600m above sea level, surrounded by rolling hills and distant sea views.

An important time of the year for Sicilians is the festival of St Agata.

Cyclone Harry visited the region and unfortunately did a lot of damage.  Thankfully there were no reports of injuries or lives lost however livelihoods have been destroyed,

I've been so very busy since my return to Sicily. 

In 11 days' time I leave Auckland to head back to Sicily.

Super excited, today my daughter and I are heading to Bali, flying Air New Zealand.
