A great day with a departure around 10am and arriving back around 4pm, look for a trip that has lunch included.

Cruise along the coastline and hear fascinating stories, swim in the bluest sea, and stop for another dip.

Pizza! 

I had the best pizza in Taormina - the Napoli con Salame - Tomato's, anchovies, mozzarella and salami.  So good, I had it twice!

Taormina surprised me—it’s more affordable than you’d expect for such a popular destination.

• Eating out is budget-friendly, yet the flavours are divine and the quality consistently top-notch.
• There are a couple of supermarkets in town, perfect for grabbing essentials or ingredients if you’re cooking in.
• The main street is lively, lined with restaurants, tourist shops and boutiques alike.
• In the evening, pop into a bar and listen to live music.  Head to a cocktail bar for live music, go early to grab a table.
• And here’s a tip: Taormina hosts festivals nearly every month of the year. If you can time your visit with one of these celebrations, you’ll be treated to something truly special—music, food, culture. This is a sample of things on during 2025

• If you’ve got a car, head to Isola Bella—just a short drive from Taormina. The water is crystal clear, the scenery needs to be seen to be believed.
